Convention Call

The CUPE BC 2026 Convention will be held April 29 to May 2 at the Victoria Conference Centre (720 Douglas Street, Victoria, B.C.). Every local has been sent the official Convention Call along with a range of supporting documents. These can all be found below in the Convention Notice Documents & Forms section at the bottom of this page.

Registration Information

The deadline to register online was March 16, 2026. Locals registering after the deadline are responsible for securing accommodations for their delegates. Please contact W.E. Union Travel at 604-969-5585 regarding cancellations and wait lists before seeking accommodations outside the CUPE BC room block.

Locals may also register their delegates on-site during Convention.

Credentials

While Locals may register their delegates as of February 18, 2026, please note that per capita must be paid to January 31, 2026, prior to April 29, 2026, to have delegates seated at Convention.

Delegates will be required to present ID at registration to receive their kit and electronic voting pads. The credentials registration deadline, for the inclusion of delegate names in the Convention Book, was March 16, 2026.

Travel & Accommodation

All Locals were required to register for accommodations by March 16, 2026. Any unassigned rooms were released after that deadline, and Locals are now solely responsible for securing accommodations for their delegates. Please contact W.E. Union Travel at 604-969-5585 to inquire regarding cancellations and waitlists before seeking accommodations outside the Division room block.

Childcare

CUPE BC will provide onsite childcare from April 29 to May 2, 2026 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Pre-registration is required and the deadline to register is March 23, 2026. Please note that we will not be able to accommodate requests for childcare after this deadline.

There is a nominal fee of $10 per day/per child for the entire day or any partial day. Lunch and snacks are included, not breakfast or dinner. Please complete one registration per child using the online form.

The resolution submission deadline has now passed. The resolutions booklet for this convention can be found under the resolutions tab in the Convention Notice Documents & Forms section below. Information regarding the submission of emergency resolutions will be provided at convention.
