CUPE BC congratulates Premier David Eby and the BC NDP on their re-election

CUPE BC congratulates Premier David Eby and the BC NDP on their re-election

After reaching a narrow majority through the tally of final votes, B.C. Premier David Eby has been asked to form the next government. On behalf of CUPE BC’s executive board and members, I offer congratulations to Premier David Eby and the BC NDP on their re-election.

There was a lot at stake for CUPE members in this election, with the future of public healthcare, childcare and workers’ rights on the line. Throughout the campaign, CUPE members stepped up to support candidates who stood with working people, ensuring that our voices were heard loud and clear. We now look forward to working with those candidates elected as part of this new BC NDP government to ensure our members’ priorities are at the forefront of their agenda.
