CUPE BC’s Environment Committee has a mandate to provide information about environmental problems and new methods of protecting the environment.  The committee also does community education work on environmental issues. We are sponsoring the CUPE BC Environment Allstar Contest to engage and celebrate CUPE members in B.C. who have shown leadership as stewards of the environment in their lives, their workplaces, or their communities.

What are the prizes?

There will be a Grand Prize for the most outstanding entry, and 3 secondary prizes.

Who can enter the contest?

CUPE members who work in British Columbia.

What is the deadline for entering the contest?

The deadline for entering the contest is September 30, 2015.

What criteria will apply to the selection of the winners?

Entries will be judged against the following four criteria:

  1. Benefit to the Environment
  2. Personal contribution of time and effort;
  3. Resourcefulness (e.g. reusing existing materials);
  4. Creativity/Inventiveness

Who will select the winners?

Members of the CUPE BC Environment Committee will select the winning entries and announce winners in October.
