Apply to the joint CSS labour adjustment and education fund by Aug 29
BURNABY—If you are a CUPE community social services worker who was laid off as of April 1, 2011 or later, or have had a reduction in hours and are currently a union member covered by a CSS bargaining association collective agreement, you may be eligible for reimbursement of training costs.
The labour adjustment and education funds are also available for current employees who have successfully completed a probationary period in a CSS bargaining collective agreement and are interested in skills development.
The funds are available through a grant from the provincial government resulting from a joint request made by the CSSBA and the CSSEA during the negotiation of the 2010 – 2012 collective agreement.
