BURNABY – CUPE EAs are invited to participate in a survey by Kamelia Dousti-Stee, a Masters of Education student at Vancouver Island University, who is working on her thesis. She is studying how teachers and educational assistants see consultation and collaboration in their everyday work. Dousti-Stee is hoping to discover what is working and what additional supports are needed to improve and cultivate the relationship of EAs and teachers.
EAs who volunteer to participate will be asked to complete a 20 – 30 minute online survey that is completely anonymous. Survey questions focus on collaborative and consultative relationships between Education Assistants and teachers. Participants can choose not to answer questions and can withdraw at any time by closing out of the survey before submitting responses.
Information provided cannot be removed from the study once submitted. The survey is completely confidential. It will collect responses only and will not collect any information that could potentially identify respondents.

This survey will remain open until August. A summary of the findings will be shared with CUPE once Vancouver Island University approves the thesis.
