CUPE Education: Get registered for the Spring 2014 school

CUPE Education: Get registered for the Spring 2014 school

BURNABY – CUPE’s weeklong schools are an opportunity to spend time engaged in thought-provoking learning.  Members come away with the tools and skills to achieve their goals, both in the workplace and in their personal lives.  And the 2014 weeklong Spring school is now open for registration. This year’s school has two sets of weeklong workshops, June 1 – 6 and June 8 – 13. This year we have had a change of venue – moving from Naramata to the University of B.C. Campus in Kelowna.

The school features a diverse range of workshops, and includes some new and revised sessions for members as well. At this year’s spring school you can  learn more about collective bargaining, being an effective steward,  dealing with mental health issues in the workplace, political action, how to use social media, and much more.

CUPE members can register online at and scholarships are available from CUPE BC to assist.  More information about the school is available at http://www.cupe.bc.ca/resources/union-education
