CUPE BC’s 50th Annual Convention kicks off in Victoria Wednesday night

VICTORIA—CUPE BC’s 50th annual convention will run April 10-13 at the Victoria Convention Centre, and will include the election of a new Executive Board.

The convention will be the last for Barry O’Neill as President of CUPE BC as he is retiring after 16 years of leading BC’s largest union.

WHAT:      CUPE BC’s 50th Annual Convention

WHERE:     Frank Carson Hall
                   Victoria Convention Centre

WHEN:       7:30 pm, Wednesday, April 10 – 4 pm, Saturday, April 13
                   (Elections are on Saturday at 10 am)

The convention will also be addressed by BC NDP Leader Adrian Dix on Thursday April 11 at 3:30 pm.
