Do you vote NDP? Join the party now and vote for a new leader…

BURNABY-CUPE BC is encouraging all members who support the BC New Democratic Party to join the political party before January 17 so they can participate in the election of the next leader.

CUPE members all across BC have an opportunity to influence the future direction of the BC NDP by becoming members of the party, getting involved in the leadership race, and casting a ballot in the leadership election on April 17, 2011. In order to vote, you must be a member in good standing of the party by January 17, 2011.

Becoming a member is quick and easy. Just follow this link to the on-line application on the BC NDP website. There is a downloadable membership application form too, but joining online ensures your application is received immediately.

More information on the leadership process is available here. Not sure if your membership is current? The BCNDP suggests that if you have not donated to the provincial party in the last year, your membership has probably lapsed and you should sign up again online – it only costs $10. Alternatively, you can contact the BCNDP at 604-430-8600 or 1-888-868-3637.
