October 26 rally to support hotel workers

VANCOUVER— HEU will co-host a Lower Mainland rally in support of hotel workers. Delegates attending HEU’s 27th biennial convention next week at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver – 1601 Bayshore Drive – will rally in support of the hotel’s workers at 5:00 p.m. on October 26. See poster here

Westin Bayshore workers are represented by Unite Here Local 40.

About 2,000 workers in the Vancouver area are currently organizing for new contracts. They are employed by the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, Westin Bayshore Hotel, Renaissance Hotel, Four Seasons, Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel and Hilton Metrotown Hotel.

HEU’s convention is being held October 25 – October 29.
