37.5-hour work week grievances to be addressed with new process

The Health Science Professionals’ Bargaining Association and the employers’ association have agreed to have arbitrator Vince Ready design and arbitrate a process to expedite 37.5-hour work week grievances.

A case management meeting will be scheduled early in the new year, and it is anticipated that hearings will begin shortly thereafter.

CUPE represents over 700 Health Sciences Professionals within Local 15, 1978 and 4816, and is currently case managing over 100 individual grievances related to the implementation of 37.5 hour work weeks and its effects on members.
