CUPE NATIONAL HEALTH CARE MEETING: October 20–22 in Victoria

CUPE National Health Care Meeting will take place from October 20 – 22, 2010 at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.

CUPE Health Care members work hard to ensure the health of people in communities across Canada. Member activists, elected leaders, and staff from every region in the country will gather together to learn from each other, pick up new information and strategies, and build strength as a union and as champions of Medicare.

Keynote speakers, panels and plenary sessions, workshops and a reception are all in the works to make this meeting interesting, fruitful and fun! Onsite registration to pick up your badges will begin on Tuesday, October 19, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Victoria Conference Centre. The meeting will conclude at noon on Friday, October 22, 2010.

CUPE has committed to reducing the environmental impacts of this event, and to ensure the smallest possible footprint on the natural environment. Members are asked to bring their own pen and paper (recycled and post-consumer waste if possible) and their own reusable water bottles and coffee mugs. More Green ideas will be provided at the conference and all suggestions are welcome!
