Western municipal workers conference coming up

REGINA—Civic workers from the four western provinces will be converging on Saskatchewan’s capital city next month, as CUPE National hosts the union’s Western Canadian Municipal Workers’ Conference.

The conference, to be held June 10-12 at the Ramada Hotel in Regina, will feature various workshops and three plenary discussions: “Public Works!—What Canadians think about privatization”, led by CUPE Communications representative Karin Jordan; “Preserving our pensions- Protecting our future”; and “Taxation, the public sector and the CFIB,” led by CUPE Economist Toby Sanger.
