Tentative agreement reached for White Rock civic workers

WHITE ROCK – The City of White Rock and CUPE workers have reached a tentative agreement.

CUPE 402-01 President Mike Guraliuk said that details of the settlement will be released pending a ratification vote by local members tomorrow (Saturday).

CUPE 402-01 represents 100 City of White Rock workers. The union began job action with an overtime ban, with rotating strikes beginning on May 2.  Full strike action at all city facilities has been ongoing since Monday, May 12.

This is the first time in the history of CUPE 402-01 that the union has taken strike action.
