Celebrate the Year of the Snake

BURNABY–In the Chinese Lunar calendar, the Year of the Snake begins on Sunday, February 10. CUPE members are encouraged to attend a variety of events celebrating the rich cultural history and diversity of B.C.’s Chinese communities in the days to come.

Lower Mainland events include the 40th Vancouver Chinatown parade, post-parade lion dances, a spring festival and cultural fair, a Chinese New Year banquet, and several activities in Richmond. Several events are also being held in Victoria.
