CUPE 561 member riding coast to coast to fight cancer

BURNABY—CUPE 561 member Bob Ahuja, a school bus driver from Abbotsford, is cycling in the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride across Canada starting in September to raise money for the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation.

The biggest charity cycling event in the world on behalf of children with cancer, the ride begins in BC and ends in Halifax, following a route that includes stops at most of the 17 pediatric cancer centres in Canada. The event has raised more than $2.5 million to fight cancer in the last two years.

Bob writes on his webpage that his participation in the ride was inspired by the death of his 14-year old cousin, who lost his battle with cancer. To learn more about the ride, and to make a donation to Bob’s campaign, click here.
