VANCOUVER—This Thursday’s Vancouver premiere of “¡Viva Mexico!” at Langara College offers a tantalizing hint of what will be on offer at the eleventh annual World Community Film Festival (February 10-12, 2012).
This powerful film, which documents the journey of Zapatista leader Subcomandante Marcos across Mexico in the “Other Campaign,” celebrates the struggle for land and dignity. The film’s producer, Daniela Contreras, will be in attendance for its Vancouver premiere, to be screened in Room A130 at Langara College on Thursday (November 24th) at 7pm.
A fundraiser for the World Community Film Festival, this event is sponsored by CoDevelopment Canada and Langara College Continuing Studies. Admission is by donation.
