LAST DAY to register to vote “YES” to say NO to the HST!

As you know, BC is currently in the midst of a referendum on whether or not the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) should be extinguished. CUPE BC is campaigning for the “Yes” side, and encourages all CUPE members in BC to vote “yes” to extinguish the HST. Voting packages have been mailed out to all British Columbians who are registered to vote.

If you have not yet received a voting package, you have until midnight tonight, Friday, July 22, 2011 to contact Elections BC at 1-800-661-8683

For more information on the referendum and how to vote, please click here visit. In addition, the BC NDP has a website devoted to the Yes campaign at www.voteyesbc.ca.
