OH&S conference begins today

OH&S conference begins today

BURNABY—CUPE BC’s upcoming occupational health and safety conference (October 14 – 16, Coast Plaza Suites Hotel, Vancouver) opens today. Themed “Respectful Workplaces” – We All have a Role to Play in Health & Safety,” the conference will incorporates issues related to bullying and harassment as well as traditional OH&S themes.

The keynote speaker for the conference is international bestselling author Barbara Coloroso, an expert on workplace bullying and non-conflict resolution. Coloroso, an internationally recognized speaker and consultant, will hold a signing session after her talk at a table where delegates can purchase her books.

Pre-conference registration will began today at 3 p.m. The conference begins at 6:30pm with the opening session and Coloroso’s speech, followed by a reception.

The following morning will be a panel discussion with a Q&A session and the remainder of the conference is devoted to workshops.
