BILL 21 PROTEST RALLY

BILL 21 PROTEST RALLY

CUPE rally outside VANOC HQ
3585 Graveley St. at Boundary
11:30 am – 12:30 pm Friday, Nov. 6

VANCOUVER—CUPE members, striking (but still working) Ambulance Paramedics, CUPE 873, and labour supporters will hold a midday rally outside the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee (VANOC) headquarters in Vancouver Friday. The B.C. Liberal government introduced repressive “back-to-work” legislation against the paramedics in the middle of collective bargaining following a demand from VANOC to bring the strike to an end before the 2010 Games.

Supporters of democracy and fair collective bargaining will be at the rally asking ‘Who is running British Columbia?’ and ‘When will our ambulance paramedics get a fair collective agreement?’
