VANCOUVER – A torrential downpour couldn’t dampen the spirits of CUPE BC’s Committee Against Racial Discrimination Saturday. The CARD committee turned out in force to try out their new banner and join the seventh annual Vancouver March Against Racism.
The march, organized by the local branch of No One is Illegal, wound its way from Victory Square through downtown. The march marks March 21, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
CUPE has committed to eliminating racial discrimination in our workplaces and communities, and ensuring that our union supports all members of society.
