A coalition of unions and child care advocates across Canada has launched a new website to raise awareness about the need for universal child care in this country.
The Rethink Child Care website is available in both English and French. The site includes many user-friendly features, including videos and news articles, all of which are available in both languages.
The Rethink Child Care group represents more than three million working people across Canada. “We know that too many families are struggling to find decent child care and are scrambling to piece together care they can afford,” the coalition says. “It doesn’t have to be this way. We want to put child care back on the agenda.”
The campaign is a result of the enthusiastic group effort of Canadian unions and childcare advocates. Participants include:
