Renowned bullying expert to speak at Vancouver conference

VANCOUVER— International bestselling author Barbara Coloroso, an expert on workplace bullying and non-conflict resolution, is the keynote speaker tonight at CUPE BC’s Occupational Health and Safety Conference. Coloroso is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant. She will hold a book signing session and books will be available for purchase.

The conference opens today at 6:30 pm at Vancouver’s Coast Plaza Hotel and runs until Saturday, October 16. Themed “Respectful Workplaces – We All have a Role to Play in Health & Safety,” the conference will incorporate issues related to bullying and harassment as well as traditional OH&S themes.

First Nations elder Rose Point from the Musqueam Nation will open the conference with a traditional blessing. CUPE BC president Barry O’Neill will welcome and address delegates prior to the keynote speaker. Coloroso’s speech will be followed by a reception.
