CUPE BC invites all delegates to a Human Rights Forum on Wednesday, May 1 at 3:00 – 4:00 PM in the Oak Bay Room (Lower Level of the Victoria Conference Centre. Panelists representing equity-seeking groups (Workers of Colour, Persons with Disabilities, Pink Triangle and Indigenous Workers) will discuss Identifying and removing barriers for equity-seeking members in order to become leaders within CUPE. They will answer the following questions:

  • What barriers existed to your involvement in CUPE?
  • What barriers did you overcome, or which were removed, so that you were able to move into a leadership position?
  • What do you recommend locals do to increase opportunities for equity-seeking members to become leaders in CUPE?

Everyone is welcome to attend.
