BURNABY—More than 600 delegates from across the province will gather in Vancouver at the Hyatt Regency for CUPE BC’s 48th annual convention starting next Wednesday.
The convention kicks off Wednesday evening with an address from CUPE BC President Barry O’Neill. No CUPE BC Convention would be complete without an international guest speaker, and on Thursday April 14 Gati Malete, the Treasurer of the South African Municipal Workers Union, will speak to delegates, while Friday, April 15 will feature keynote speaker Linda McQuaig, author of The Trouble with Billionaires.
