The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly:

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly:

BURNABY — CUPE members in the Metro Vancouver area are encouraged to attend an important conference on taxation policy this Friday and Saturday at the Maritime Labour Centre. Details of the event program can be found here. The event, co-sponsored by CUPE BC, is presented by the Vancouver and District Labour Council.

There’s never been a more important time in BC for an “adult conversation” about tax policy. With the HST debate ongoing, and a province-wide vote scheduled for next month, the conference brings together experts and advocates from a wide range of backgrounds.

WHERE:    Maritime Labour Centre

              1880 Triumph Street, Vancouver

WHEN:     Friday, May 27 (7 – 9 pm)

              Saturday, May 28 (9:30 am – 4:30 pm)
