This event will take place on September 10-11. BC's Environmental and Labour Movements will be hosting a conference on building a green provincial economy. The conference title is "Jobs, Justice, Climate: Building a Green Economy for BC."
Conference attendance is by invitation only, but union members are invited to the public keynote address on Friday evening.
The speaker will be David Foster, Executive Director of the BlueGreen Alliance. The BlueGreen Alliance <http://www.bluegreenalliance.org/home> , which is a US-based national strategic partnership between labour unions and environmental organizations dedicated to expanding the number and quality of jobs in the green economy.
Time: doors open at 6pm. Event will be held between 7 and 10pm
Location: Plaza Ballroom, Hyatt Regency Hotel, 655 Burrard Street, Vancouver (next to Burrard Skytrain station - map <http://tinyurl.com/HyattVancouver> ).
